Job Description
Customer Service:
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, or via email with booking flights, changing reservations, and resolving any issues related to their travel.
- Provide information on flight schedules, fares, and airline policies to help customers make informed decisions.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
Reservation Management:
- Utilize computer reservation systems (CRS) or airline booking platforms to make and modify flight reservations accurately.
- Ensure compliance with airline regulations and policies while processing bookings and reservations.
- Handle ticket changes, cancellations, and refunds as per company and airline guidelines.
Ticket Issuance and Documentation:
- Issue electronic and paper tickets to customers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to ticketing regulations.
- Verify passengers' identification and travel documents to confirm eligibility for travel.
- Provide passengers with necessary travel documents, including itineraries, boarding passes, and baggage tags.
Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with airlines, travel agencies, and other relevant parties to resolve booking issues, accommodate special requests, and coordinate passenger services.
- Communicate flight information, delays, cancellations, and other pertinent updates to customers promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient operations and seamless customer service delivery.
Sales and Upselling:
- Offer additional services such as travel insurance, seat upgrades, and ancillary products to enhance customers' travel experiences.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals by actively promoting add-on services and upgrades.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, transactions, and customer interactions in the reservation system.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, booking trends, and customer feedback for management review.
- Assist with general administrative duties as needed, including filing, data entry, and inventory management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education
- 6 months Air Ticketing course is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the travel industry or airline sector.
- Proficiency in computer reservation systems (CRS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing bookings and issuing tickets.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a knack for upselling and promoting additional services.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of airline regulations, fare structures, and travel documentation requirements.
- Multilingual proficiency may be advantageous, especially in regions with diverse clientele.
